Blue sky project:
The back of the Third Reality switch is a simple, semi-exposed screw drive (with a little tab for paddle switches). The screw drive is open to allow a toggle switch to be inserted. Torque is fair.
I'm thinking someone could cobble together a battery powered, surface-mounted slide bolt using the screw drive as an actuator.
