Thermostat controller device not visible in Homekit

Good morning,

and happy turkey day for those of you who enjoy it.

My question: I have a somewhat complex setup with plenty of virtual thermostats controlling one central real tstat through a set of rules (and an SSM implementation). Works well.

One particular vstat is using the thermostat controller app to get weighted average over a number of temp sensors. One problem I have with that is that the underlying vstat does not see updates but the device the app creates has everything I need so I need to fix either the vstat update (vstat is visible in Homekit) or expose the app device to Homekit (can't see how).

I am probably overthinking this, but this august community has proven helpful before, so: any ideas?

Cheers,
Martin

Homekit doesn't support Apps. You can only share Hubitat devices with Homekit.

I had hoped to maybe mirror the controller device to a vstat device and expose that to HK. If that can't be done I'll rip the controller out and replace it with a rule, weighted avg is easy enough to implement.

I am seeing this as well. The Thermostat Controller device (created be the app) is not visible in the HomeKit Integration app. Only the real thermostat device is shown.

This will be fixed in the next build.

Will the thermostat controller have two way sync?
For situations when the thermostat(in my case a mini-split) is controlled via a built in timer, the remote or Alexa instead of Apple Home app or Siri: It would be great to have the thermostat controller reflect the updated state the controlled thermostat is now in.
