I know its been a topic b4 but has anyone got the TAPT switch to pair as a plain old zigbee switch. I have tried generic zigbee, ge/jasco and a few others but no luck. I can change it out if needed but just wanted to leave it cause its such a pain to swap switches.
There are community/custom drivers floating around for the GE Tapt switch. My recollection is that they can control the switch, but status reporting doesn't work. I'll tag @ranchitat because I think he has/had these switches.
If it were my choice, I would replace them with something modern that works with a Hubitat built-in driver.
Yup, still have 'em, in their boxes, in another box....
Try this built-in driver:
Using it should give your HE the ability to control your Quirky TAPT switch.
If you need to monitor it for physical changes you'll need to do that with polling.
Not sure if there's a better way but my brief test of this APP seemed to work.
Really appreciate it. works fine for my purpose on/off. gonna setup some automation and see how it works tonite.
Just to let you know last nite and this morning this rule ran fine using the tapt set as a NEU zigbee switch. Lites came on at sunset and were off when I got up.
So no need to swap out the switch as planned.
I love this group!
