I installed a Tapo p125m WIFI plug and a s515 switch to replace a Kasa plug and Kasa switch. When I use the Tapo integration It see's them but states "not installed. needs driver tplink plug" I don't know how to do that.
The "M" model should also be able to be added via Matter if you have a compatible hub and don't want to use custom integrations. But if you prefer the integration (or are already using it for other devices and want to keep thing the same), the message suggests you didn't install the TPLink Plug driver. How did you install the integration originally? If manually, find that driver and manually add it, too; if HPM, try doing a "Modify" in HPM on the package and selecting the missing driver for installation.
I don't have anything compatible with Matter. I have the Tapo Device Integration installed and tried to modify it and HPM said no. I had 2 trouble free years of Kasa but the last month I lost most of them. The Kasa integration I had was not working. Now I'm using the Built-in app which worked for 2 weeks Friday morning with Kasa not working. Out of 26 devices I got 22 up and running on the Kasa integration and 1 from Tapo integration and 3 I can't get paired on the Kasa or Tapo apps. I had a Tapo switch and plug so I got them on Tapo app. When I tried the Tapo integration it found them but said I didn't have the driver.
The Tapo device probably won't work with the Kasa app (TP-Link can be confusing, but I think this is accurate...). So, you'll probably need to use Tapo or Matter. I'm not sure what you mean with not having anything compatible with Matter, as any Hubitat C-5 or newer (which you probably have unless you were an early adopter) can be and your smart plug definitely is, so that should be an option. But for the Tapo integration, what exactly do you see when you hit "Modify"? I just installed it to test and get options when I try -- you'd need to select "TpLink Plug" based on your error:
I went back to modify and it did open the page you have. I checked the boxes and they are happily on my device page. I have the C8 Pro It has Matter fabric I need Thread over matter which I thought Alexa might have it I'll look into it latter. That switch I put in turns the garage light on when the door leading to the garage opens my wife's favorite. Thanks for your help
Why? Do you have another device you're looking to add now, too? The Tapo P125M in your original post is Matter over Wi-Fi, not Matter over Thread, so all you need is Hubitat (but you could also use another Matter controller and use it to generate a paring code to add it to Hubitat as well if you prefer -- my preference since Apple Home works well as a controller, but not necessary if you don't).
In any case, glad you got the driver figured out!
ok. These should work with the community app and should download via HPM. But you can always do a manual download of the driver from the gitHub site. for the drivers see:

As far as your Kasa devices as well as Tapo devices, TP-link (kasa and tapo) is now enforcing (on certain devices) the "Third Party Compatibility" being set to true in their application. That will stop this integration for any device enforcing. Set that to true in their application.
