I'm already thinking the answer is NO, but asking anyway...Can I use the "Swap Apps Device" function to swap unidentical devices? I have some Zooz ZSE44 temp sensors that control heating in my outbuildings to prevent freezing. When the temp is down to near freezing temps , the batteries report "Low Battery-1, or 2" which worries me, and I assume is because the Lithium batteries don't like the cold temps. So I want to swap the ZSE44s out for mains powered ZSE11 motion, temp, humidity, light sensors. I don't intend to use any functions other than the temp sensor. Can I directly swap these devices, or will I need to rewrite all my rules involved?
You can swap them in that the tool won't stop you.
But you may need to adjust your apps. If you're really only using the temperature sensor portion, you shouldn't need to (especially if you're going this direction; this would really only come up if you were swapping the "other way" and are relying on capabilities the ZSE11 supports that the ZSE41 doesn't).
