I have a Texecom Elite alarm system with wireless control via the Texecom Connect App on my android phone. I want to enable HE to turn alarm on off when we leave/arrive to the house via geo fencing and set the downstairs zone we have created in Texecom to set when we go to bed. Can this be done? Has anyone here done it? Am a Noobie but uwilling to put the work in to learn. Just need pointing in the right direction on where to look
I too have the same system and wanting similar controls.. Would be great to be able to get the alarm system tied into Hubitat.
same here . anyone got any updates on this please?
Nope. Same for me. It can only take ‘input’ instructions from Control4 as far as I know. They were supposed to be releasing a Zeave module (which I why I chose the Elite) but never did . All you can do is take information out from the board outputs - you can program it for alarms, arm/disarm, sensors etc, but then you have to find a way to get that into your system. The board outputs just trigger 12v on the output. There is the Konnected system, or the home brew Arduino board (which is what I’m working on). Not what you want, but partial integration at least.
The Texecom Premier Elite alarms have a full bidirectional protocol called ‘Texecom Connect’ for control and event reporting.
It was available on request but now is for integrators only. There are older protocols too used by some companies but these are no longer available from Texecom.
There is a Docker image that will utilise MQTT which is what I use. This is a great example of being able to leverage an MQTT integration for use in many controllers rather than waiting for a not yet existent Hubitat one.
MQTT
That’s interesting to hear. At the moment it is way above my head but maybe it could give me what I need (if I could figure out how to implement it!)
Both Indigo and Vera have 2 way solutions so it's possible but you need your panel wired to your router.
