Support for BG Electrical Smart Power Socket, Alexa Compatible Double 13 Amp

I have a number of STT Smart plugs integrated into my Hubitat system to control plug in lights.
I am considering replacing the relevant double electric sockets with these wifi smart double sockets -

Before doing this I wanted to seek advice on integrating these wifi enabled sockets into the Hubitat system.
Given they are wifi enabled, I am thinking a similar approach to local control for LiFX bulbs would work. But is there a way already out there?
Or is there a better way?

That is only possible because of the way the LIFX bulbs work. You shouldn't assume that because it works for LIFX, it would work for any wifi bulb/plug because it usually doesn't.

I know of no way, other than the IFTTT/Alexa "workaround" method to control something like this. And what I mean by that is that you end up getting very slow control with no positive/negative feedback to control the outlet by going through IFTTT or Alexa. But I would not recommend that method. If you're talking lights, it would be much easier to go with one of the solutions that works natively with Hubitat.

Thanks for the heads up.
On refelction 'one of the solutions that works natively with hubitat' is wise advice.
Are there any zwave or zigbee double sockets on the market I wonder?

There are.. But I'm not familiar with the devices in your region.. But I would bet there are there too..

I'm not in the UK so I have never investigated the options. There is a UK channel here on the forum you might want to ask that question in. Might get a bit more attention from your country-mates.
