Sunricher ZG2833K8_EU05 driver

Just as a heads up, this is a unit that RGBgenie will start to carry. The form factor is European, but it is still a very useful button controller for the US market.

To my understanding the provided update and explanation is not working as intended.

I have updated Hubitat to 2.1.9.114 now, and I am using the Sunricher SR-ZV9001K8-DIM-G4. I have excluded the device, factory reset and added fresh to Hubitat. Thereafter I have tried using both driver for "RGBgenie 8 Button Controller" and "RGBgenie Controller ZB-512x". Neither of them registeres button pusshes and showing this in top-right corner of "Edit Device".

In addition, when trying to set up Rule Machine with Button Device-trigger, I do not get any button numbers to choose from when defining actions. I can create a rule using Button-trigger, but this still means one rule per button. Regardless, the device does not register any button pushes when using the above mentioned drivers.

When using "Generic Z-Wave Button Controller" as driver, the device operates as before. However, the same issue is still here that one cannot use Button Device-trigger (it does not detect buttons).

The only way I still can get this to work is by using Generic Z-Wave Button Controller as driver, and having one button-rule per button (8 rules in total) to get this device to work.

If I have misunderstood anything, I am more than happy to test with corrections.

The device driver in the build is for a zigbee device.
Are you saying your unit is zwave?

Can you post a screen shot of the data section of the driver details (the bottom part)

Yeah, that’s a Z-Wave unit

well that explains that...
@Gnant ?

I can see it has been answered already, but it is a Z-Wave+ device.

Regardless, please find the data section below.

If there is anything else I can support with, please do not hesitate on giving a shout-out.

Already have samples in route and product ordered. Along with a bunch of other Zwave stuff.

I have the same 8 button device however as the Zigbee variant SR-ZG9001K8-DIM.

is it possible to get support with a driver?

Thanks

same model, but a slightly different fingerprint than the built in driver...
So it should work.

You can try changing the driver over to the RGBgenie 8 Button Controller driver, then while pressing one of the buttons every few seconds (to keep it awake), click configure in the driver.

This may or may not allow the required configuration commands to be received by the device.

If this doesn't work you'll have to remove and rejoin the device after the next build comes out which will include this new fingerprint you posted.

I went and got this device after seeing this post.
Now, I am in europe with a european HE.
Device isn't automatically found, and I cannot Find the RGBGenie 8 button controller driver in my environment.
Are there different builds for the different regions?
If so, is there a possibility of getting this driver?

Thanks up front!

I have the same issue Also the Zigbee version
I also do not see the 8 button version of rgbgenie controller
The rgbenie controller zb-512x works,.. but only with the 2 buttons on top.
6 others do not react. It also is saying 5 button controller. By pressing short and hold button 1,3,4 and 5 get triggered.
Would be great to get this working.

you have to use the rgb genie button controller driver
then it should work fine.
i live in holland and used it with the c5 and c7

I get a error code when I setup this remote in button controller. I want it to start rising the dimmer when button 1 is held and stop changing the dimmer when it is released.
[error]groovy.lang.MissingMethodException: No signature of method: rgbGenieZigbeeButtonController.getButtonEvent() is applicable for argument types: (java.lang.String, java.lang.Integer, java.lang.String) values: [released, 5, physical] (parse).

How do I get this remote to dim the lights?

Crap, that's a bug, this will be fixed in the next release...

Thanks

Update: I ditched the Icasa switches and got the Robbshop ones (like you have). Tried pairing in different ways, with factory resets in between. Both manually and by choosing from list:
Sunricher - Single color 4-Group remote - ZG9001K8-DIM Button Controller - Zigbee
But still only 5 buttons (with the RGBGenie button controler). Can you please give me some pointers @mike.maxwell @Yenko ?

I just bought the Icasa ICZB-KPD18S Pulse 8S on Amazon, which I believe is the same as the SR-ZG9001K8. I used the RGBgenie Button Controller driver, but I only get 5 buttons. It is named a Button Controller-5.1. How do I fix this?

When you say 5 buttons, please explain.
With a logging window open, what's sent to the logs when each of the 8 buttons is pressed?

Hi Mike,

After many inclusion attempts, both of them somehow got the correct 8 button configuration. Before that, only 5 buttons were available, as seen in the log and in button controllers app. Beats me what did the trick, but not a device to recommend.
