Hey folks -
I'll be in Dallas without having made plans for things to do during the day tomorrow. Looking for something fun that is decidedly non-tech to do.
Thanks!

Cowboy hat is required.
What part of Dallas? It does make a difference.
Irving / Las Colinas.
In Dallas?!? No.
Fort Worth? Maybe.
Look for items in Addison (about 10 miles), Grapevine or Frisco (depending on alone or with children). I am 76 so not out as much for full-fledged entertainment as I used to be.
Have gone to the ifly facility in Frisco (10 or so miles). Not cheap, but a thrill. long time ago.
Grapevine has a lot of wineries with a self-manage tour of the tasting room. See
With family, Great Wolf Lodge has a water park. See their website.
The Star district in Frisco has restaurants and (of course) tours of the Dallas Cowboy training area (a definite for philly fans so they can use restrooms to leave a message in the toilet).
Nearby Addison has a lot of entertainment and food venues.
Additionally, the Improv in Addison and dueling Piano locations (Addison, Frisco) provide good adult entertainment.
Of course, there is also the video game museum in Frisco. But that is tech.
See if there are any Buc-ee's anywhere in the area, and go there and get 10 or 20 of their beef brisket sandwiches.
Then mail them to me. Sorry not much help for you but I really want some more of those...
