Suggestion: comment action

RM already has a section for notes to attach to a rule, but for more complex rules, it would be nice to insert a comment inline. Would it be possible to add an "action" to rule machine that was a no-op, and would allow you to insert text in that line?

E.g., action name: comment.
Field to fill in: comment text.

No. RM is not a programming language. It doesn't have lines of code. It creates a UI summary of the actions that are setup to show what those actions are, but that is not "code" in any way. If you want to include text in actions, either use the Log action, or as suggested above, use a virtual notification device. Or, better than that, use the Notes section of the rule to write down whatever you want. For example, you could copy the UI summary of the actions and paste into the Notes sectio…

Or, tl;dr, if you really want this: log to either a real or virtual device (you don't have to do anything with that virtual device) or use the "Notes" section, since this isn't likely to happen.
