Suddenly 2 of 3 Aqara mini switches stopped responding

Suddenly 2 out of 3 Aqara mini switches stopped working. The one shown below won't even register a key being pushed. No other indications of a problem. I tried rebooting the Hubitat, rebooting the Zigbee radios, and rebuilding the Zigbee database. FYI I just updated to version 2.4.3.123 yesterday.

Anything else I could try before factory resetting these buttons?

-Thanks

The logs show the same thing that a button press was not registered for hours. I enabled debug logging and pressed the button a few times and it still did not register a log entry.

They may have fallen off your zigbee mesh.

Aqara devices will do that sometimes.

Try resetting and then re-pairing the devices with the hub.

That's what I figured. Just wanted to make sure there was nothing else that could be done.

You could use a different brand of devices that aren’t known to misbehave like that.

I have observed over the years that I can go for many updates and all boots well and others a few Aqara/Sengled drop off and I have to re-join them.

I also read a couple of articles that indicated Aqara devices do not play well with Hue smart bulbs.

Can you tell me off hand which switches work well that are similar to the Aqara mini switches?

I have Lutron RadioRA 2 switches and Pico button controllers in my house.

Thanks I'll check them out.

Have you tried rebooting the switches?

You’re not going to want to switch entirely to the RadioRA 2 ecosystem unless you’re prepared to spend hundreds to thousands of dollars.

But the Lutron Caseta system also works with pico remotes and can integrate with Hubitat the same way RadioRA 2 does.

If by reboot you mean press and hold the reset button for 5 seconds, then pair it again, I did that. Hubitat indicated the device was paired previously so it kept the same name and it resumed working. Another Aqara mini switch that wasn't responding I accessed in Devices and entered a number and clicked the "Push" button. That snapped it out of it!

They look nice I'll keep them in mind if I come up with a use case. These look a bit more complicated to use. I have difficulty getting my wife and son to utilize the home automation technology. But I'm working on them! My wife actually liked the "Elvis Button". It's an Aqara mini button she presses once to play Elvis, twice to play Garth Brooks, and long press to play 80's rock.

Every so often, a smart switch get confused and becomes unresponsive. Some have the ability to be power cycled from the switch. Others need their circuit breaker switched off for a few seconds then back on. Why? I suspect short duration brown outs on the utility. But that is not proven. Easier to flip the breaker off and on. I should note that my PCs and Hubitat and other sensitive gear is UPS protected so its not really an issue for me.
