Stubborn zwave ghost device removal

HI All,
I have recently purchased a C8 pro and in the old c8 hub has been moved to cover zwave device on the second floor. I have attempted to remove a aeotec nano switch from the c8 pro (locate on the ground floor) but it will not remove.I have tried the following:
remove power to all zwave devices then attempt the below
Refresh/remove many times from hub zwave tools
added zwave usb and set to "isfailed" (see screenshots, using zwave controller)
shutdown hub and remove power for 1 min the attempt the above again
Might there be any other methods to remove stubborn physical wave devices or technical support from hubitat team to have this device removed?

This is a myth and does not do anything useful. Only the device you want to remove needs to be unreachable on the node ID you want to remove. Which if it has be paired again to a new node it would unreachable on the old node.

Did you then click Remove failed button to remove it?
Usually works every time as long as the device is not reachable on that node ID.

Check PC Controller logs to see why it wont remove it if still not working.

After clicking isfailed the device never goes into a red state (ready to be removed) even though it has no power to the device

Try node Info and/or Get Version, see if something responds to that, it should not.

Did you try using PC Controller after a clean shut down and reboot so the radio is in a fresh state?

What does logs in PC Controller say after the is failed does not work? (I think bottom right corner has a button to open logs).

yes the output below is after full power removal from hub for 1 min

I would exclude the USB Stick and remove it from the hub and then pair it again. That has worked for other people in the past although not sure where it was failing exactly, I never asked for logs.

I have tried this and the pc controller logs during "isfailed" action the logs shows "is not failed" but the unit is already joined to the other hub and tested as working

I have the same exact issue on my C7 2.3.8.140. I usually wait a few days , sometimes it gives the hub time to sort it out. In the meantime my UZB stick does not have the complete z-wave table, so I can't remove the ghost. I tried "update" in PC Controller but it won't pickup the last 12 devices I've added since running the stick last. I'm afraid to try to re-pair the stick as it will likely result in another ghost. Besides I'm getting really frustrated chasing down all these issues. I spent so much time on problems, ghosts, zigbee crashes, memory low, hub slow and I'm weary.

A secondary controller won't see any new devices added to the network after it is added. This is how z wave works.

Thats normal. Sometimes Update works but not often. You have to exclude and include again (or use replace).

It seems after a day and re-adding usb pc controller I am able to cleanup all old device

Jeez, Thank you. I could have sworn I was able to update at some point in the past. Are my concerns valid about creating another ghost if I try to exclude the UZB 7 stick, to reinclude it? At least while the network is already having issues.

I don't get it my Vivint Z-wave+ thermostat was fine for almost 2 years and then 1 day decided to leave the network. I treated it so good, spent quality time, talked gently to it, and just like that she left me. I'm heartbroken. Fortunately at the electronics store down the street I saw this really sleek, smooth thermostat that I've had my eye on...

FINALLY, it took me almost a week to rid the ghost. Not sure if it was the stick I was using but 20 minutes ago with the UZB7 stick, no success. Removed the UZB stick and paired my Aeotec stick(Z-wave 500), which I hoped would work since part of the ghost issue is with the 700 series, which the UZB 7 is. So the Aeotec stick WORKED, finally.
Oh and also I had to reboot the hub right before "is failed" then "remove failed" in PC Controller.

Glad it's done!

You mean reboot the hub, I presume, before using the "is failed" button?
