Start Polling vs Poll Devices

do not use Polling as it seems to bog down my hub. However I have some rules that use the "Poll Devices" action. I'm assuming that when I select "Poll Devices DR Dimmer" it will be a one time poll, not a continuing or repeating poll. Am I correct in this belief? And what is the difference if I poll or refresh a

If there is a difference, it is within the Driver code. Most have no difference and the driver does a one-time shot on either if activated by the user.

I would like to know if there is a difference between Polling a device and Refreshing a device. I have a couple of zwave devices that need their status to be updated and I was going to put it into some RM rules but I am wondering what the difference is?
