I bought one of these back in 2024, it wasn't working right. The space I set it up was out of the way and I ended up leaving it in place. Fast forward to this week and I noticed it sitting there. I couldn't remember how it let me down so I went to the device page and it appeared to be working. I created a Room Lighting rule and everything works great.
Came to the forums to see what others had to say. A thread with the same name as this one (I stole it) reminded me of the issue; this item was known to switch active and stick there for 20+ minutes unless you manually reset it.
If you still have one in a drawer, you might want to give it another look because mine has become my favorite motion detector.
I installed it below my TV and now it doesn't matter how still I sit, Hubitat knows I'm there and doesn't shut off my lights.
They are currently sold out on Amazon US, there's a similar item that looks identical getting recommended by the name Smilewolf with the same model name SNZB-06P; I'll give it a try. My silence on the subject will tell you it worked the same as the SONOFF brand, otherwise I'll pop on here and say it doesn't work.

If it ends-up not working, Aqara’s FP1 is a pretty good Zigbee mmWave sensor. If you have a C-8 Pro, then the FP2 is even better as it supports multiple zones.
If you don't need zones and want to get rid of the power cord the Aqara FP300 is a great sensor. I have replaced all my Linptech sensors with the FP300 and I really like them. There are videos on how to switch them to zigbee without an Aqara hub.
I've been watching for these to come back in stock, they seem to be pretty sold out everywhere. I hear they come back in stock and just sell out quick again, so I guess I am just missing them when they are available.
Yeah, they are hard to get. What I started doing was checking Amazon every day at noon and then again around 9pm. That seemed to be close to their release times or I was just lucky eventually. I finally caught them enough time to get all I needed. They had a long delivery time of like 2 weeks as well.
I haven’t had an issue with either, but I suspect that the load from the FP2’s is smaller. As far as I’m aware, it will only receive a motion/no-motion signal from the zones plus an illuminance value as it changes.
That’s right. I had gotten my FP1 from AliExpress, but they never sold on Amazon - they did sell the FP1E which are the same.
The FP2 are indeed WiFi and connect via the HomeKit protocol to the C8 Pros. The Aqara app is used to define zones, and that happens on the cloud. However, the motion events are local.
Ok, I wasn't going to post unless there was a problem. Hit one that was easy to solve. First off Smilewolf = Sonoff. I don't know why it's listed like that, but the model, documentation, and box are all SONOFF; Smilewolf does not appear anywhere on the product.
I installed the new device and had the same problem as the first time, it triggered active and did not turn off for 20 or so minutes. I looked at the other device that was working great and found I was using the Hue Motion Sensor driver. I switched to that driver and boom all is good.
There were 10 Smilewolf presence sensors when I ordered the first one, there were three left tonight. I grabbed two of them. If you're looking for the SONOFF sensor, the Smilewolf alternative is the same thing.
