I have just had Somfy Curtains that use a Zigbee 3.0 Movelite 35 RTS W Motor installed.
I haven't started playing yet but I've done a quick search of the forum and I'm not finding anything that relates to these. I've probably missed something but I'm wondering if anyone else has these installed.
If so, how are you controlling these.
Are you using the TaHoma Switch?
Can this be linked to HE?
Are you directly controlling these via HE?
If so, how are you doing this.
OK folks.
I've been doing research into bringing them into HE.
I found a topic in SmartThings which had been successful in automating the motor into ST.
For anyone who's interested here is the solution. (Copied from the original ST post).
The Somfy curtain motor has an RJ12 socket.
Pin 1 is OPEN
Pin 3 is COMMON
Pin 6 is closed.
I purchased an RJ12 cable and a Fibaro FGS 224 z-wave module.
On the module I did the following:-
Wired the 'IN' terminal to pin 3, COMMON.
Wired the 'Q1' terminal to pin 1, OPEN.
Wired the 'Q2' terminal to pin 6, CLOSE.
I paired the z-wave device using @cjcharles device driver that is available through HPM.
Wired the RJ12 lead into the module and plugged it in.
S1 now opens the curtains when turned on.
S2 now closes the curtains when turned on.
Make sure the switch is turned back off again before the curtains are fully opened/closed.
Hey presto, I can now write WC pistons to control the opening and closing of my curtains.
Happy days.
I am in the process of ordering Somfy rollers for our screened in porch so we can use it in the winter. I was hoping we could connect directly to the Zigbee signal as the rollers are made to be compatible with Smarthings. Did you try adding as a Zigbee device? Maybe I will have to go the same route you went.
I tried but could not get them to pair. In fact they stayed paired to the Tahoma hub.
Just couldn't get them to do anything by pressing the reset button.
I'll have to try again sometime.
