Somfy 2 Button Controller Pairing Issue

Having some issues pairing some of my Somfy 2 Button Controllers. Basically, I would reset it, turn on Hubitat pairing mode, enter the include mode on the controller, it would be recognized on Hubitat but would flash red (like include failed) on the controller. Then it would not respond or pass button presses to Hubitat.

I was wondering if this is something that someone else has run into...

Here are some more details.

Here are the steps that I've tried:

  1. put hub in exclude mode, hold program button for 3 sec.
  2. reset remote (hold program for 14 seconds)
  3. exclude again
  4. include

... the hub sees the remote and seems like it adds it, but the remotes keeps blinking it's lights until it flashes red and times out. If I try to exclude the remote after, I see "unknown device excluded”

here are the logs for exclude:

sys:12020-10-02 02:26:45.233 pm infoZ-Wave Exclude Started for 30 Seconds

I've only done the include with the Somfy ZRTSI 2, not this device. However, I had to bring the device very close (a couple of feet) to the Hubitat Hub. The only reason I mention that is that your battery seems a bit weak on the controller. Have you tried putting in a new battery? What Hub version do you have? What firmware version?

Hubitat Elevation® Platform Version: 2.2.3.148
Hardware Version: Rev C-4

Strange thing is that I tried changing the battery and it reported low level as well, so not sure what's going on there. Will try closer to the hub. Strange thing is that it shows up as paired on the hub, the hub sees it, but the remote never sees itself as paired.

Well, some have reported issues with C-4 and 2.2.3.148. What happens if you attach the device to a different driver? Do you see button pushes?

No, it acts like it's not connected. Strangely, of the 14 or so remotes I have ... all but 4 connected up ,... but not in order, and I can't find any consistency in which worked and didn't and why.

Will try doing it near the hub.

I don't have these remotes anymore but I don't think these remotes work for anything else other than pairing them to the blinds and control the blinds after HE discover them.
I could be wrong. It was a while ago.

I tried pairing closer to the hub and was able to get all but 1 paired. I guess that's good enough for now. Will try to get the last one paired later.

I pulled one out of the box. It paired right away, except, I get this weird line in the logs every time I hit a button.

Not sure what else it is doing?

Try turning the debug switch off in the driver. It’s debugging info.

Haha, Thanks. Yes, I know itès debugging info, but I wasn't sure what it was saying or why.

Cheers,
