For now, the simplest Ring to HE integration users have found is via Amazon Alexa. Since Alexa has Ring integration already (with instant updates), you can easily create an Alexa Routine to have it turn on a
HE virtual motion sensor whenever motion is detected at your door. The HE virtual device then automatically turns itself back off after a few seconds. This provides a nice 'motion event' that you can use in other automations. Credit for this idea goes to @stephack.
