(SOLVED) "Hub Unreachable" error several times per day

My hub has a reserved static IP address, outside the DHCP range. Ever since 2.1.0.122 the hub web interface indicates "hub unreachable" with a red exclamation point, at various times thru the day. It seems if I open the notice it then goes away. Hub is still accessible via web, I can still control devices , navigate the hubitat menus and automations still work. I know my wifi is working
Anyone else seeing this lately?
Never had this error until post 2.1 upgrade. My device is a note 8 with Android 8.0

This just means that the browser was unable to load messages in the background. It is a new feature as of 2.1 and means that at that moment the hub or your browser were unable to communicate.

Okay, Thank you Patrick. I've turned off data saver in my mobile chrome browser, which i later discovered might be the cause of issues by shutting down my connection, but would have hoped it was smart enough to differentiate between wifi & cellular.

What would be smart enough? A browser window has no idea what network connection its on, The only thing we know is if the hub is reachable or not.

I meant the data saver built in to chrome browser on Android, but I guess it doesn't realize wifi doesn't require data saving like cellular, although I have heard of people who have limited data buckets at home with their internet providers.

I'm curious about this as well since I have noticed it constantly flashing red/green. I don't think I have WiFi issues - pretty solid network here. What would keep the hub from communicating with the browser on a local WiFi/LAN setup?

I assume you are talking about dashboards? Need to know browser and if you are using a ssl link or http link.

The logs from console, f12 on a desktop would help too.

Most likely it sounds like something is blocking access to the websocket if it's local.

Not a complaint here but just more of an FYI as it still works. I noticed lately (not sure when it started) that if I access the Hubitat UI (not dashboards) using the Samsung browser on my Note 9, it always shows the Hub Unreachable error although everything still works. If I switch to using the Chrome browser on my phone I do not get the error. Happens whether I am at home or logged in to my VPN. I use Chrome primarily on both my desktop and my laptop and I don't see the issue on either of these. Desktop has wired network and laptop has Wi-Fi. As I said, it's not limiting anything so just thought I'd give you the info since there seems to be a difference between the browsers.
