[Solved] Amazon Echo Skill and new C-8

I’m having some trouble connecting my devices through the Amazon Alexa skill to my new C-8 hub.

I had a C-5 at my old home and when I moved, I upgraded to a new C-8. Everything was playing nice with the old C-5 hub. So I’ve set this all up before but it’s been a while.

I’m trying to add devices to Alexa for voice control with my new C-8 hub. But Alexa isn’t discovering any new devices like it would with the C5. Maybe the Amazon Alexa skill is looking for the old C5 hub? I don’t know.

Alexa works fine in my new home with my new WiFi. The devices in the C8 hub work fine through the Hubitat app/ dashboards. I just need Alexa to be able to see and control the devices.

Any ideas on what’s going on here?

Thanks

I presume that you have added the Echo devices to the Alexa skill? Do you use Echo
Speaks? Do all of your devices appear there?

Go to the Alexa app on your mobile device. Disable the Hubitat skill then enable it again and log in. Select the new hub.

That fixed the issue. I thought I went through this process when I first set up the hub, but maybe it didn’t work that first time. Regardless, that was the solution. Simple.

Thanks!
