Smoke/CO Alarm Battery Level Issue

Based on what we are seeing about this item, it seems like a reliable device.

Yeah and there's that, as soon as I moved mine over from ST, it drained the batteries and the next day it was chirping. Not sure where the 77% comes from, other than inaccurate battery level reading. My energizers were at 1.4 volt on removal after dead chirping.
Too bad hubitat only has battery replaced date on certain drivers, as I'd love to have a built in battery tracker in the hub, instead of my spreadsheet approach

I agree on the battery replace date. @veeceeoh is the man for making a device handler that has lots of user love in it. He's got his epoch cred but he knows normal folks need plain ole human readable info.

Try a couple of Lithium cells instead of Alkaline cells. They last a whole lot longer.
