SMCDW02-z

Hi everyone,

I was hoping the SMC Door Sensor SMCDW02-Z would work by default as a generic device with the Hubitat. Apparently not. The hub finds the device as a SmartSense Multi V1, but the status as a tile is always unknown. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Did you change the detected driver to "Generic ~~ZWave~~ Zigbee Contact Sensor" and click Save Device?

You could be right!! Although Google found schizophrenic listings:

Yes, I did try Generic Zigbee Contact Sensor with no luck.

Also tried the same with no temp

After more looking, there are comments on some of the Amazon links saying they do not work with SmartThings, proprietary code, etc.

Unfortunately I did not find the Amazon link until -after- I hit buy on eBay...

I believe they are proprietory for Xfinity / Cox systems only. I have tried as well.
