Smartthings platform outage AGAIN

I got my Hubitat 3 days ago #1128. I set up one smart light with an old ST motion sensor which seem to be working well. I was getting ready to start migrating more of my devices over, and now I cant log into ST to remove the devices from my ST system, so I can add them to Hubitat.
I’m looking forward to getting the system up and going!

You can power off the smartthings hub, remove the batteries and factory reset your devices to move them.

Thanks, I’m not in a big hurry. I would prefer to wait, to avoid having issues. It was kind of a ā€œrantā€ about how unreliable ST has become lately. I’ve been using ST for almost 3 years now, and lately it has become… a pain.

My suggestion is to just leave your devices in ST, but move them to Hubitat. That is, don’t remove them from ST. ST won’t know other than marking the device as inactive. factory reset them, then add to Hubitat. That way, your automations remain intact in ST for reference. Later, you can clean up behind yourself on the ST side, or not.

Great idea, I’ll definitely give that a try. Thanks very much

Holy moly, there is a guy on the ST forum that cannot get into his house!!!

UPDATE: The locksmith can’t break into my garage without destroying the door which will cost $$$. I told him to leave…he didn’t charge me the $635 quote since he couldn’t get me in. Still can’t open the garage using HomeKit App or SmartThings App.

Looks like I can’t get into my house tonight…I do have a condo nearby that is also on SmartThing’s. I have a Schlage Connect Lock on it…so I assume I can still use my code even though ST is down?? I have the rboy device handler.

Apparently his car is in the shop and has a loaner car and has no way to open his garage. Wow, glad I am here!

I think Hubitat will be getting a bunch of new orders very soon!

Mine’s coming Wednesday. Glad I got the order in under the wire, before the deluge.

I'd be very interested how big of a spike in orders happened today! I even put a plug or two on the ST forum.

I’m here now cause of you. Been using your ST-Anything for a while now. Did an update and see the new stuff for Hubitat. Did some digging and ordered one. Came in the mail today. Moved over a couple items and bam, ST went down lol. Go figure. Perfect timing I guess. Thanks for your code though, most of my devices in my home are running it straight or with a little modification.

I ordered mine about two weeks ago, got it Saturday and will be looking at moving what I can over to it … will probably have some orphaned bits over on ST until they are supported by Hubitat or replaced … but the ā€œOther Hubā€ app will help with the migration … will do it in phases - stuff only I use first, stuff that family uses but doesn’t ā€˜interact’ with second … and anything that my wife uses last (WAF FTW!)

And another SmartThings outage is happening now. But all good in my household because everything is running locally!

Only bummer is my wife uses the ST app still. Oh well.

I only have a samsung monitor, and it’s not smart enough to connect to anything, luckily.

Yeah… My most recent issue with smartThings is I am unable to add, remove, nor edit anything in the IDE because of permission errors. I opened a ticket with ST Support and the answer I got was ā€œWe aren’t seeing any issues.ā€

It isn’t that huge of a deal because most of my devices are in hubitat now, but it does effect me being able to mirror my hubitat setup in ST. I guess ST has made it so their product is of no use to me now…

Oh well…
