Smartthings Mesh Collapsed

HELP - I just bought a c8pro to replace my aged Smartthings hub. The Smartthings mesh routing has collapsed. 21 of about 50 devices show as offline. The devices do not respond to any exclusion or even factory reset attempt. Id really like to not spend thousands of $ to replace all the devices to have a fresh start. Any help is appreciated.

Power cycle the devices then try a factory reset on them.

Done that - the devices do not respond.

You can use hubitat to exclude (make sure your smart things hub is off)

Your Smartthings mesh likely collapsed because you may have started moving the repeaters that were the backbone of your mesh. That is rather normal Z-Wave behavior if the main devices are missing. As @rlithgow1 suggested, you are better off shutting down Smartthings and moving devices one by one, excluding them from Hubitat hub. If you are not following this guide, is still not to late to review it: How to Build a Solid Z-Wave Mesh | Hubitat Documentation

Good luck with your migration.

Thank you - will try that and report back.

Do not respond to what?
Factory reset is not dependent on any mesh or the hub, it would be a button sequence on the device to reset it.

Or yes, as stated above, you can power off the old hub and then exclude via Hubitat to "reset" the devices and get them ready for pairing.

Are you sure you are using the correct reset procedure for the devices? They should reset with the correct button press sequence, though it varies by device. I usually just Google it if I can't remember or I have lost the booklet that came with the device. They usually fast blink when reset and ready to pair again.

I've never had an issue getting a Zigbee device to re-join after they are reset. I don't even bother with exclusion, especially for Zigbee devices.
