I noticed earlier today that many of my smart things (AEOTEC) contact sensors were not reporting temperature. Not a big deal for me, I don't use it myself, but thought I would mention it in case anyone else notices it. I can't point to any change that could have caused it, such as a particular platform version or otherwise. Refreshing the devices seems to have made them report temperature once.... Hmm.... Maybe this is an issue of sorts... Temperature changes do not seem to be reported regularly... Acceleration and contact (open/closed) seem fine.
I have the SmartThings version multipurpose and they are reporting temps fine with this driver. Assuming that is the same contact sensor you are describing.
It’s hard to keep track of all the generations of smartthings sensors, particularly since aeotec took over the hardware manufacturing side of the smartthings branding.
possibly a firmware version thing... it was mentioned some time ago for some performance or other issue I was not experiencing.... Maybe that's it.... (I don't have a ST hub, so can't, I believe, apply a FW update)
