Smart Radiator Valves

I’m wondering if anyone in the US is using a smart valve on radiators with hot water or steam boiler system.

GoogleFu shows many of these devices available in other countries.

Check sinope or check alibaba

Well, you could as many of them are zigbee, however the old men who tuned these steam systems would advise against it. If you lookup home heating help , Dan Holohan, balancing these steam systems is very tricky, and if balanced correctly the radiators should heat evenly.
Second issue is the fitting don't work out. The valves available in Europe are made specifically for those radiators, whereas the radiators in USA use a 1/8 NF thread, so you'd need a couple adapters, and it gets real expensive quick. I ventured down this road and quickly realized I'd be spending lots of money for little gain, if any.
