I saw a post on this the other day, yes they do make them sick. They can emit intense high frequencies we can’t hear and it causes fear and discomfort in dogs. Someone I know tested the frequency after their dog was so stressed it stopped eating, and found it high. They unplugged them and the dog got better, plugged back in and worse again. Obviously they aren’t using them anymore. Just wanted to share for dog owners.
There are allot of things with bad electronics that can cause noise a bad reaction for animals. My dog sleep every day about a foot from a Samsung Smartthings Smart outlet and he is fine.
I don't doubt that the person that reported it had cheap bad gear that cause their dog stress, but it is also a fairly bad idea to generalize and say all smartplugs do this.
