I spent a lot of time looking for a direct access controller for a single power wire fan and light that I could put in an existing fan installation that supports both command and status, cooperates with local remote, and could be easily used with Hubitat. So in case it helps anyone else.
If you are also looking for a ceiling fan controller that supports direct WiFi access for management (Internet access required to setup but not to use and manage), Progress Lighting P2667-31 is a Smart by Bond device that will work with most AC fan motors and light kits. It is a bit pricy at ~ $100 per fan.
You can find it online at Home Depot, Lowe's, or Amazon.
It can be managed by Hubitat using the built-in Bond integration or the Bond Home Integration app available in the Hubitat Package Manager (my preferred method)
Note: beware now days many big box store ceiling fans are DC motor which won't work with this controller.
If you are looking for a new ceiling fan with this controller built in, Progress Lighting appears to use Smart by Bond across their WiFi product line. Also Westinghouse WiFi/App fans use a Smart by Bond controller.
