I just updated to the latest as well... thanks to @bcopeland..
I wonder if it is possible that too many devices routing through it causes it to switch to down to 9.6?
Curious if your speed changes. Please let me know. I am hesitant to unpair and pair on battery because I donβt want a slower sensor, especially in my master bathroom.
Will be swapping out all of them today. Will let you know.
So I'm not sure whats going on (maybe the latest firmware) but I cannot force the motion sensors into "battery" mode. Every time I exclude then include with batteries then switch over to usb it appears to reset back to "powerSource: dc" and things slow down to 9.6 when I start zniffering. This is frustrating and I do not want to use batteries!!!!
edit: so it might be a leftover from @csteeles driver - need to continue my replacements - the report was showing usb powered sensors...
Bobbyd also said that in the nightly routine old device history is being purged. Maybe it helps to exclude them and include them on battery the next day?
That's an interesting thought! Of course I am far too impatient for that sadly..
It looks like things have improved but I'm in the middle of updating some firmware for a zooz power outlet (@bcopeland's driver is rocking!) and then I will do a repair and then more Zniffering to see what the overall impact is..
Will definitely report back soon.
Here's Aeon's documentation on USB vs Battery:
That's great thank you! Since these are basement sensors not worried too much about the changes except for the repeating thing.
My zniffing leads me to believe things are looking much better now!! Mostly 100 Kbit/s and some 40s just what I would expect..
Currently running a zwave repair.
Ive done what bobby suggested with the "all devices" dashboard trick, made my dashboards super snappy for the first 24hrs but have noticed everything getting slower and slower again.
The only 2 community drivers I have is cobras supertile and the sensibo integration - which im sure many of you dont have.
I have Sensibo on 2 hubs. One works fine with no reboots. The other I reboot every night and still it seizes up time by time. So I doubt the Sensibo integration is the issue.
after bobbys suggestion of fixing the dashboard - 2 days later its back and worse.
robe MS2 turns on the extra light - 3.5 seconds
@stevebott123, are you using the iPhone Wifi Presence sensor?
i've deleted all presence options except for locative/maker API
I have wifi presense sensing on my C4 hub (which doesnt slow down). My c5 hub does have slowdowns, with no wifi presense sensing installed on that hub.
the only thing ive changed is the dashboard thing above and my hub has to be restarted every 24hrs now, its made it worse.
With all of this and current life issues im thinking of pulling it all apart and boxing it up until I have the patience for it.
Have you double checked you have deselect a device that is still on the dashboard, I've seen some apps hang onto devices as well could the dashboards be hanging onto them???
Also just seen below, what your use of motion lighting app?
All devices I went through and with screenshots activated based on them being on that dashboard. Any I missed show up with a "?" and I went back and activated them.
I actually did a shutdown / restart 2 days ago and have noticed a considerable change in behaviour with my hub.
Just wanted to come back around to this thread. My slowdowns are gone. The issue was caused by my old Aeon v1 (300 series) HEMs and my choice to set one of them to poll every second.
Moved them to a second hub and the problem moved to the second hub. Now solving that with a daily reboot on that second hub. Main hub no longer requires a daily reboot.
Just curious... ![]()
What are you monitoring that you need data every 1 second?
