Right now, I have my Iris V1 devices consisting of motion sensors, door/window sensors, and keypad connected to a C5 hub. Will Hub Mesh continue to allow the use of Iris V1 devices if I were to upgrade my C7 hub which contains my other devices? I understand about changes in hardware, but I would like to keep the Iris V1 devices that are still functioning well.
Yes, Hub Mesh can share Iris v1 devices from a C-7 or older model hub to a C-8 without problem. The issue is related specifically to the Zigbee chip in the C-8, which Hub Mesh -- being just way to share devices from one hub to another over your LAN, not involving the underlying device protocol, whatever it may be, at all -- is completely agnostic to.
