Simple temperature rule

I am looking to set up a simple rule to heat a cat house. I have a heating pad in the cat house that i want to turn on (smart plug/switch). I want it to turn on if the temperature drops below 50 degrees and turn off if the temperature goes above 50 degrees. Do i have to make two separate rules? Can someone post what the rule would look like and how to set it up so it is one rule? Thank you.

Try using Basic Rule. I would suggest that you separate the on and off set points to keep the heater from rapidly turning on/off.

I used Simple Rules to turn on the patio fan for the dogs.
