Silicon Labs App - Digging hole deeper :-)

C8-Pro / Latest OS
I had a couple ghosts I couldn't delete when a ceiling fan motor shorted and killed a light and a fan wall switch. I was able to load the SI app and delete the ghost nodes.

"However" :upside_down_face:

Now I can't delete the apps PC controller and when I try, I just keep getting more ghost entries in my HE zwave table.

Every time I try to join controllers again the SI app never picks up the data from HE and it adds a node in HE.

It is hidden in the guide on how to exclude. You will need to pair the USB stick again, use that to remove the USB stick ghosts. Then when done, do a proper exclude on the stick.

If anything seems stuck, do a shut down on your hub and unplug for 30 seconds so the radio can reboot. Sometimes a node will be removed but get stuck in he cache for some reason.

Thanks...as always. I followed those for the whole process and it's not finding it. Will keep trying.

Not finding it? You mean the hub exclusion times out and does not exclude the Stick?

Not sure what else to do, I ran into this about a week ago I had forgotten how to do it. Followed those instructions and it worked straight away. Try starting the exclusion directly from the z-wave details page and not the device page, it should not matter but I think that's how I did it when it worked.

It was either not working or pulling incomplete tables of devices. I had to reset my USB stick via the app each time and then power everything down on both sides and it started working as expected. Somehow...even after trying to delete them directly in HE a dozen times...that worked for the last two finally after SI had removed one of them. I actually stumbled across that since SI still wasn't seeing 2 of them and I thought maybe doing so would add them to the exchange.

I guess all's well that ends well...and thanks for your time.
