I have installed the built-in Shelly Wifi App. It scans my network and finds my Shelly 1 Gen 3 device which has been updated with the latest firmware.
When I create the device, I get this message:
[Shelly WiFi Device - shelly1minig3-5432044e2760 (MAC 54:32:04:4e:27:60) ]
Device type is not recognized. Try updating firmware, deleting device, and adding it again.
Unsupported device type, placeholder device created.
This seems to be one of the most common Shelly devices. I must be missing something.
Any help is appreciated.
Greg
Can you grab the latest build 2.4.4.146 and check if it fixes the issue?
There's a bug that got fixed in that build.

I'm on 2.4.4.155 and get this error. The Shelly is a mini 1 Gen 3. Shelly firmware 20260311-095839/1.7.5-g9979d16
I had it working previously but had to reinstall and now get the unsupported device type error.
are you using a password for your device?
For those 2 relays, shellyplus2pm & shelly2pmg4 using this driver, V2+ Switches, Relays, Dimmers, Lights, Power Meters in the Integration app I have a password issue.
The 2 relays are password protected, no username (empty)
When I try to install those relays, I get this message in the app:

When I remove the device, remove the password protection in the Shelly and reinstall it without password, everything is working fine. So, this is a kind of workaround to get the device installed …
