What is the correct way to request support for new matter device types? I recently added the Shelly EM Mini Gen4 to my hub and the closest built-in driver appears to be the Generic Matter Outlet device type.
I would like to formally request that support for a power monitoring only device driver be added to the platform. I can provide any information needed.

@mjarends if you need the energy to be reported via Matter from your Shelly EM Mini Gen4,
you can try this community package (MAB). The disadvantage is that because this package is designed to work mainly with Matter Bridges, it will always create child devices, which is not very convenient. But it will work as a temporary solution, until Hubitat comes with a fully featured Matter Energy inbuilt driver.
Thanks for providing the alternative solution. I'm assuming that in this case since I don't have a Matter bridge, I would just change the Shelly's device driver to the MAB driver and an appropriate child device would be created under the Shelly device.

I attempted to get my Shelley EM Mini Gen4 to work with Hubitat and the workaround provided by kkossev, but I was not able to get any kind of energy monitoring to show. I’d also like to request if there could be a driver created.
While I would still like Hubitat to natively support the device, @kkossev’s driver has worked awesome for me up to this point.
Make sure after you switch to the Matter Advanced Bridge driver, save and then go to the Commands tab and run Discover All.
The driver will identify the capabilities of the underlying device and create the appropriate child device(s). When I ran the above steps, it created a child device of the following type.
Ok, that helped! I had to reset the Matter setup in the Shelley Web UI for the device and re-add it in Hubitat. I followed your steps and it worked. It made the child object successfully and I see it is a power meter now and that it shows the power reading.
When I was trying to do it the first time, the Discover All command showed an error so completely removing it helped.
One thing that was nice was adding the Matter device with my phone app so it auto-configured the wi-fi information. now that it is on the network, I can find the ip and just go to that in a browser and see lots of information about the device, reset, etc. Awesome. Thanks again!
