Shelly bulb question

So I've been just generally looking at alot of devices lately, just to see what's out there, etc. So I came across the Shelly bulbs, and noticed it says it has an embedded web server. What the heck is that, and how is it used?

From what I can see, all Shelly devices have their own simple web server.

When the device is connected to your network via Wifi and it gets a network address, you are able to access its web server via that web address. It provides standard functionality, allowing you to control the device.

Hubitat is also able to directly/locally control Shelly devices (without going to an external web site).

You should also be able to control it via the Shelly app if you wish to do so.

The better bulbs though we're finding are Lifx.,.. I would look to those over shelley.

I may try one or two of both. Honestly, with exception of a couple lamps, I'm starting to think of moving away from bulbs and more towards dimmers.
I've just kinda generally looking at various devices trying to get some ideas.
