Tons of new features and enhancements included in today's SharpTools.io update. Far too many updates to list here, so check out the linked thread below, but here are some of the popular updates:
If the fan reports back custom fan modes via the supportedThermostatFanModes attribute, those modes will be displayed. Otherwise the default Auto, Circulate, On fan modes are displayed.
Some neat features here in 'other enhancements' like cast-web-api support for album art tiles, HTTP REST API syntax for power users, and some nice HSM tile updates.
Introducing Variables! A powerful tool for interacting between rules and dashboards.
Use variables to store values and use them in conditions, commands, and triggers in your rules. View and control them from your dashboard making for a neat way to interact with your rules.
Note that the Variables mentioned here are native to SharpTools.io and are not related to the Hubitat Global Variables commonly used with Hubitat's Rule Machine.
The dashboard sharing feature enables you to easily share your dashboards with friends and family! Whether you want to share your own favorite dashboards or create new dashboards with a limited set of tiles, you can use the dashboard sharing feature however you see fit!
The latest SharpTools release includes a number of security related icons (helpful for using custom tiles to control HSM) and a handful of Thermostat Tile improvements.
As requested by the community, this update enables you to select which sound is used in Pushover notifications. You can select different sounds for different notifications - such as using siren for security related notifications and echo when someone arrives home - making it easy to tell what type of notification you are receiving by the sound you hear.
I'm excited to announce the new Themes and Styles feature for SharpTools! This checks the box on several of the top requested features for SharpTools, so be sure to check it out!
Spacer Tiles are no longer counted against the 15 tile limit in the Free Tier! This makes it easier to space things out to let your backgrounds shine through without counting against the free tier tile limit.
Thanks for posting and sorry to hear that things aren't working as expected. There aren't any other reports of this at the moment and I just verified that I can successfully complete authorization across my personal hub and test hubs.
Anyone know if its possible to add smoke alarms and gas detectors to Sharptools?
Mine don't show up in the Things list. I read that for SmartThings there is a place that you can authorize anything with an actuator in it but can't see that option in the Hubitat SharpTools app. Anyone know if this is possible? thanks
