Have "Enable debug logging" and "Enable descriptionText logging" disabled for the device below. Yet when a Rule Machine 5.1 App issues a refresh command to the device it is logged (also shown below). Likely that the built-in driver not checking the logging settings. It's a minor issue, but likely also easily fixed.
It looks like the non-legacy version does what you are describing. Try switch to the the (legacy) version of the driver and see if it stops. I just looked at mine (E21-N1EA) and it was doing the same with the non-legacy driver. Not sure if the legacy driver will will cause any functional issues for yours.
The legacy version does not have the issue. I see no functional issues. Thanks for the immediate fix on my end.
This appears to have been a choice or perhaps oversight in the creation of the Color Plus driver. This will be changed to match convention in a future build, perhaps still in 2.4.2 but soon after if not. This affects only the log entry.
However, it's generally unnecessary to send such frequent "Refresh" commands to most devices. I would suggest looking into why you are doing that (unless the frequency logged above was only you testing). A refresh creates a lot of traffic, and a properly configured Zigbee device should report what you need on its own.
Good to know. The relatively high frequency was just me doing testing. It's in a app that is executed infrequently. Specifically, when my washer or drier have finished a cycle as measured by their power reporting I set one of three bulbs to blue to visually indicate that the wash needs to be moved to the drier and/or the clothes need to be removed from the drier. I find with the Sengled bulbs after powering on the bulb I have to do a refresh prior to setting the color. I don't know why, but without the refresh the command rarely works.
Edit: after reading another thread, I saw that some people suggest leaving the power on at the switch all the time to the bulbs. I did that and now I just turn off the lights. The bulbs no longer need a refresh because they don't lose power.
