I have been using the Sengled contact sensors on about 12 doors in my home. It is using the Generic Zigbee Contact Sensor (No Temp) driver. They have been working very well including the battery % reporting.
I had 3 contact sensor batteries that died and one that was around 12% that I changed. After putting in brand new CR1632s, the contact sensors reported activity as before, but the battery percentage value has been stuck on the last reported % right before the battery died. I have tried using the Config and Refresh selections on the device page, but it has not done anything to change that % value. Is there something special I need to do to get that to report in again?
The other odd thing is that the I have these setup in a dashboard and all of the other sensors are green, the former dead ones are all grey, and the one that was at 12% is red. Not sure why they are grey.
I too am wondering about the battery report for these. Several sensors seem to be always 40% but the device log for one that seems to drop out shows reports of 29% and then back to 40%. I only installed this about two months ago and twice now it is reporting the door open when it is not.
I'm replying to an old thread, but wondering if anyone found a solution for this? I have the exact same scenario -- several sensors which consistently report battery levels of 12%, 29%, or 40% -- even with a fresh/new battery.
Still no solution. All mine are currently reporting 11%. Had one stop working about one month ago that I just discovered. Battery removed measured 0.06V so no wonder it stopped working. Replaced battery and re-paired but still getting 11%. Last Battery variable reports 1750704201, not sure how to read that.
