Sengled BR30 "Element Color Plus" reliability -- after about 3.5 years, they are starting to fail

I have a half dozen of these "Sengled Element Color Plus" bulbs, bought in two different batches, and the older bulbs are starting to have problems. In CT mode, they flicker if they are set too brightly. If I reduce the brightness, the flickering will stop... But over days and weeks, even the lower brightness level will start to flicker again.

If it was just one bulb I would think it was just bad luck, but right now it's two out of three in the older cohort.

They have been working well with my Hubitat all along but I'm inclined to try replacing them with something different.

If you can use the recessed rt 5/6 versus the BR30, that seems to last longer with lights I have tried. If my Sylvania recessed lights start failing (5-6 years old now), I’ll probably replace them with Hue. I have only had 2 Hue lights fail since 2017 and I have over 50 of them.

Good to know, thanks!

I’ve stumbled here because my brand new Sengleds just started flickering while in CT mode but they’re stable in RGB mode. I think I need to consider these are dying, which sucks because they’re like 45 days old.

Oh, ouch. That's way too young.

I wish I had a time machine to see how my new LIFX products will age.
