I'd like to have a second instance of the Amazon Echo Skill to link with a different Alexa account. Is this possible?
The goal is to create virtual switches that Alexa recognizes on a second Alexa account. From there, I'll use an Alexa routine triggered by the virtual switch changing states.
This is not possible with a single hub (though it should work with a second hub, something like Hub Mesh, and another instance of the skill app there, as long as you have a second Amazon account; I don't think it should need a different Hubitat acoouht, but I'm not sure anyone has tried).
When my son was away to college he had his own Amazon account and an echo dot. When he came home from school three years ago I had him install the hubitat skill and connect using my log in. Of course I learned that this replaced my account connection so I signed in again on my Hubitat skill to restore the connection.
But he still has the ability to control HE exposed devices via his echo.
When I make changes on HE, my Amazon account gets updated with the new devices automatically. On his account he has to rerun discovery through the Alexa app. But it works.
