Search a variable or file for value in another variable

New to rule machine and Iā€™m trying to figure out if I can evaluate if file or a variable contains the content of another varable (that stores current time hh:mm). I store the time stamp every time when a device is changed in a file(or variable), and then that is used to determain if a device should be turned on. I use it to ā€˜replayā€™ the the lights in my house when Iā€™m not home.
Any help is greatly would be great, Iā€™ve looked all over for info but canā€™t find any on this specific case.

Thanks, i just to ask to get to work :slight_smile: I was trying to compare a dateTime var with a string. When changing the dtaeTime to string the compare seem to work
