Hello, I bought the Hubitat C7 without doing my homework, I have a schlage FE599 lock and I am having problems pairing as a generic lock. Schlage lock might not be supported and I may have to go back to Vera because of this.
Any ideas?
Thank you in advance
While not "officially" supported, many users have had luck with these devices, sometimes dependent on (non-upgradeable) firmware on the lock.
The first thing I'd do is make sure your Z-Wave mesh is healthy. Any repeaters, especially beaming-capable repeaters, are generally helpful; any "ghosts" are best removed. See: How to Troubleshoot Z-Wave | Hubitat Documentation
If that all looks good, sometimes with older locks, the hub needs to be very close (a few feet or so) to the lock to complete inclusion. It's often easier to move the hub closer to the lock than the other way around given that the lock normally needs to be on the door to work, though either way can work. A long network cable (or Wi-Fi adapter plus OTG cable) can be helpful for this.
Thank you for your reply, so finnally I was able to pair (that is good) now I cant seem to add a code. Any idea?

Any errors in Logs? Right code length? Do other operations/commands (and reports) work?
Hello, im fairly new to Hubitat C7 still struggling with the logs and reports. I have a small condo 5 devices, regardless I ordered a Zwave repeater for the lock. Hopefully its going to solve my problems.
The fe599 is a 300 Series z-wave lock. It is not friendly to the c7/c8 chips with it's firmware (usually 6 and below. Schlage will not fix this). Due to that you "may" have issues trying to connect it. (the be569's work fine with 7.10 and up). It will pair fine with a c5 and you can attempt to migrate it that way to a new hub. (It will be a crap shoot though) Though if you got it to the c7 that's great.... A repeater will definitely help. Are you trying to add a code via LCM or directly on the device page? Remember that the 1st two slots are taken, so you start with slot 3. By default the lock is set for 4 digits.
