Schlage locks - unable to communicate all of the sudden

I've been using Schlage locks for years without issue..

All of the sudden, it stopped communicating to Hubitat. Since I figured the lock may have gone bad, I bought a replacement and brought it up here to my airbnb with me... but it has the same issues.

I've got a repeater, and the replacement lock I've got off of the door and am attempting to pair it right next to the hub.

When I unpaired the main lock I saw "Unknown device unpaired"

I am unable to re-pair either to Hubitat right now. Hubitat doesn't show any discovered devices, the locks show the red "X" (fail to pair). But I can often still exclude them ("Unknown device excluded) after a failed pairing attempt, so something is happening...

Semi urgent since I'm only up at my Airbnb for another 24 hours, and this is obviously a critical part of the guest entry experience :).

Any ideas? Or replacement locks available at Home Depot that work with Hubitat?

My process:
Remove any ghost from bad pairing BEFORE you to try to include them.
Fresh batteries in the lock.
Fresh reboot AND power cycle on the HUB (unplug power for 30 seconds) That will reset the z-wave radio.
Bring lock to the HUB or the HUB to the lock. Needs to be within a few feet.
Wait a few minute before trying to successfully exclude a couple of times.
Then try to include.
If is doesn't include. Start the process ALL over again.

Shutdown hubitat, unplug power for 5 mins and power back up and see if everything is ok.

Thanks guys.. Looks like it's working again.

Glad you’re up and running. For reasons unknown, but often linked to a cloud backup, the zwave radio can enter into a partially functional state. The only way out of it is to power-cycle the radio, which as @rlithgow1 indicated, is achieved by power-cycling the hub.

Thanks.. good thing my Hubitat is powered by PoE on a ubiquiti PoE switch that lets me power ports on/off remotely :).

Hopefully after doing a hubitat shutdown remotely (abrupt power interruptions run the risk of hub database corruption - this is definitely an area where some resilience is desirable).
