Schlage BE468 zigbee lock Battery life issues

I have two of these Schlage Zigbee locks, they have been great with battery life until recently only one of them has been burning through batteries for some reason. It happens to be the one that is very close to the hub.

Any ideas or things to check?

Maybe do a factory reset and re pair on it? Usually when locks start burning batteries is because they're constantly talking to the mesh (z-wave or zigbee) and so deplete power quickly.

Thanks I will give that a try. Reason I havent tried that is i wasnt sure I would have to redo all the codes etc... or does it just simply re-pair like any zigbee device?

It re pairs like any zigbee device. Don't delete it from Hubitat and it will slot right back into place. But I would go to the device page and make a note of all your names/codes to be safe

Did a factory Reset, rejoined but had to setup codes again, no biggie. Will see if the battery life gets better.

Just to update this thread, rejoining and setting up the lock again did not work. Still chewed through batteries.

I found that the battery pack that you pull out to swap out the AA's had an intermittent connection, if I moved the pack/wires around in a certain way the lock would cut out and back in. I cleaned up the contacts(didnt look too bad) put some dielectric spray on everything.

I noticed the pack was a bit loose in the slot so I put a small foam wedge behind it to stiffen it up so it doesnt rattle around in there when my wife and kids SLAM the door LOL. Since then the battery has not moved from 100%. I also put a small peice of tape to hold the battery wires from moving.
