To improve reliability, security, and overall user experience, our community platform will undergo a major software upgrade of the Discourse forum platform during a scheduled maintenance window on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, beginning at 7:00 AM EST.
During this time, the community site will be temporarily unavailable while we complete the upgrade and perform post-maintenance validation.
What’s changing?
This upgrade brings us the newest generation of the Discourse platform and includes a variety of improvements, such as:
• Enhanced security and platform stability
• Improved release and update infrastructure
• Better image and media browsing experiences, including updated gallery and carousel options
• Refined reactions and engagement visibility (including clearer reaction displays)
• User interface and navigation refinements
• Emoji picker and formatting improvements
• Ongoing backend modernization for improved long-term performance and scalability
What to expect after the upgrade
Following the upgrade, some parts of the user interface may look slightly different while the platform rebuilds caches and synchronizes updated assets. In addition, certain user preferences, themes, notification settings, or personalization options may take some time to fully reapply or stabilize after the maintenance is complete.
Some features may also feel slightly slower than usual immediately after the upgrade while background optimization tasks finish processing.
