Scene Indicator stopped working

I seem to have another room lighting scene issue. I have my scene indicator set to "all set per table" and my settings match after activation but the indicator is off and the logs say it's not active after activating everything. Seems like a bug?

If I look at the activation device I see:

Which seems inaccurate.

I have another one this morning not working - maybe this feature stopped working overall?

Also, this is happening before (2.3.9.x) and after updating this morning to 2.4.0.120

2.40.120 is a beta release -- if you want to discuss aspects of that, then this conversation needs to move to the Beta forum.

Beta topics should not be discussed in the regular fourm.

These are total shots in the dark and are admittedly complete hunches on my part, but I wonder if the "Off"-setting devices are a fly in the ointment here...

First thing I'd do is change those "Off" devices to be a plain Switch instead of CT.

Next, I'd try unchecking the Off-column checkbox for the Off devices.

What type of lights are these? Do the device details page for each light match what the commands from Room Lighting?

It doesn't have anything to do with that, just typically folks ask what version you are on so I provided it.

Thought of this as well, will play around with it and see if it helps.

For broader context all of this worked for 2+ years with this setup so it seems like something introduced on the Hubitat side that caused it to go off the rails (multiple room light apps now).

These are a variety of switches and hue lights. Per my other reply, they all worked great up until recently. Also when you look at the table and current = activation settings, that should be what the scene indicator is looking at I would expect, so not sure why you would need to look any deeper. If there was a device mismatch, then you would expect it wouldn't report the matching settings. Activation works great, just doesn't always show the scene indicator as Active.

I don't recall anything in recent platform release notes that would relate to this, but it's certainly possible there were unintended effects due to other changes.

When I first set my RL scenes up a long long time ago, I just remember having similar issues in scenes where some devices were just set to "off".

The "CT" vs "Switch" setting shouldn't matter here at all, but that's something I always consider in each of my RL setups -- I try to "dumb down" that setting to the minimum required for each device (and what I need it to do in that particular setup).

The other thing to consider may be the "Type" of this RL setup's own Activation Device -- if it's currently set a a "Bulb" or something like that, perhaps try making it just a plain Switch.

I do believe the problem is the CT selection for the Off part. See if making those switches instead of CT fixes it. It's possible there is a problem with Off for this, and I will look into that. Please let me know if changing from CT to Switch fixes this. Seems like its a bug...

OK thanks! I just switched all my CT - Off bulbs to Switch - Off. Will see how that works over the next day (unfortunately it doesn't seem very repeatable as when I just looked my room light scheme was active even though I couldn't get it to active to save my life this morning). As I mentioned before this all worked largely for the last 2 years without me making any changes so not sure if that helps track to any changes in recent weeks or if I just have a weird edge case that pops up intermittently.
