Today I disabled my "Chromecast Beta" on my apps page. Was I surprised when my google minis are still talking. Apparently I only need the Chromecast to install the minis. Hoping that this will help keep my minis from dropping off my system.
Another thing my minis keep changing their volume to 45 - anyone have any clues why this happens?
Solution for 45% in this thread. Create a rule to change the volume level back. It's a known issue.
After a number of months of my Google Mini keeping the same volume setting, in the past several days, the TTS sound level is diminished. I went into the device settings and saw that it was at 45%. I changed it to 100%, and it seemed to take, at least for the time I looked at it. Then the next time the mode changed, it was quiet again. When I went back in, the sound level was again back at 45%
What is causing this to change? I have not made any changes in the apps which use it for TTS announceme…
I found you will still need something like this to keep the minis alive even with the app disabled. YMMV
Hi I use Chromecast Helper to keep my Google home mini alive.
When a message is send to the mini it is alway playing, thanks to chromecast helper I think
