Rules Run Without Ethernet?

I'm pretty sure I'm ok here, but want to verify.

I created a simple lighting rule to turn off a plug once a week. Then I created a rule that if the plug is off to turn it back on after 10 seconds. Testing indicates rules work.

But I am planning on putting the plug on my router to reboot it automatically. Been having some issues with the router and this was recommended.

My question is if the router is off, thus the hub has no ethernet connection, the rule to turn it back on should still run ok???

As long as the plug is Zigbee or Z-Wave, yes. If it's a WiFi plug, then no.

It's a Z-wave. I knew a WiFi wouldn't work.
