I trying to do turn a light on and on base on motion and presence and cannot seem to find arrival / departure or presence in simple motion lighting app? Is it in the Simple Motion lighting App?
For lighting based on presence and motion on my front porch, I just used Rule Machine.
@billmeek is that rule working for you? I can turn on the light but it dosen't turn off. I'm got some part of the code wrong. Can you share how you set your up. Thanks
I've since changed to use Motion Lighting and am ignoring presence. But this should work.
Make sure the trigger is 'changed' so it'll have a chance to run the if statement again to turn off the light.
Hey thanks for the rule and it looks simple enough I guess maybe I had a senior moment. Seems that I been getting them lately but anyhow I created a virtual switch based on presence and them when back to motion lighting and got it to work. Thanks for the reply and helping.
