So I have this rule, but I cannot figure out the proper condition. Whenever I add my dimmer if I set it " < 1" it add's the word "FALSE". If I set it " > 1" it adds the word "TRUE". Which makes it impossible for me to say "If dimmer level is less than 1....do XYZ"
I must be missing something basic about how conditions work.
If you look at the device itself, you'll see that the level is not 0. The dimmer level cannot be less than 1. Setting the dimmer level to 0 turns the switch off instead. Why not just check the switch capability of the light? The dimmer level of the device is 99. It's right there next to the dimmer level.
Do you actually want dimmer level < 100? The number is an integer not a decimal. In that case, be careful because dimmer levels of z-wave devices max out at 99.
You know what. I thin i just figured this out. What was messing with my head was the "Yellow False" and the "Green True".
I thought the system was modifying my "code", but it seems that is just a live representation of how that condition would evaluate currently?
I also saw the dimmer thing never goes to zero when turned off. It leave it at least preset and ...as you suggest....the "switch" capability is set to off. I think I have it as I want it now.
THANKS!
