Room Lighting - Weekend only

I want my motion (Prescence Sensor) to fire all day on Sat & Sun. Do I have this rule set up right? This is my first rule in Room Lighting

I would not use modes to time a single rule. Best for things like reconfiguring the house for away or sleeping. To many little carve outs will not end well. There are other more suitable ways to define days of the week in the conditionals but that may imply Rule Machine. I am not familure with the features and limitations of Room Lighting.

^^ What he said.

Maybe lean toward the "Disable Activation upon these Events" option in RM and use a Hub Variable. Then set a rule to turn that HV to true on days you want it to disable activation.

I would suggest you look at the mode function as a way to adjust the settings the bulbs work under like color, CT, Brightness, but not actually control if something activates or not.

With the simplicity of that ask as well you could also just use Visual Rule Builder. Here is the rule that will turn on the lights on the specified days.

Then just create the opposite rule with the trigger being motion stops as shown here

That would do it, but i was also just playing testing this out in RL and it looks like if instead of choosing modes you select "Time Periods" you get a option to select days and specify the usage on given days. That is likely the most direct route while using RL
